On July 27-29, the Association of American Railroads (AAR) carried out quality tests on AARM-1003 steel wheels produced by Anhui Province-based Chinese steelmaker Masteel.

The US officials checked equipment, production, staff training and the quality control department at Masteel. They found that the AARM-1003 steel wheels produced by Masteel were in line with the required standard and thereby renewed Masteel's quality certification for these products.
