Foreign direct investment in China up 6.4 percent in 2015

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in China in 2015 totaled $126.27 billion, up 6.4 percent year on year, with a total of 26,575 new companies set up by foreign investment in China, rising by 11.8 percent year on year, as announced by China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOC).
In 2015, $39.54 billion of foreign direct investment (FDI) went into China’s manufacturing industry, remaining basically stable year on year, accounting for 31.4 percent of the total FDI figure, while $77.18 billion of FDI went into the country’s services industry, rising by 17.3 percent year on year, accounting for 61.1 percent of the total.
